Delegate Summers moved to amend the bill on page 1, section 1, line 1, by striking subsection (a) in its entirety and inserting lieu thereof a new subsection (a) to read as follows:

“(a) The Legislature finds that there is a growing body of research documenting the linkages between adverse childhood experiences and childhood trauma on lifelong health and the prevention of adverse childhood experiences and mitigating their impact, therefore the following may be part of the state’s opioid response plan:”;

And,

            On page 2, line 28, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 3, line 65, by striking the word, “shall have” and inserting the word, “may perform”;

And,

            On page 4, line 82, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 4, line 83, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 4, line 84, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 4, line 85, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 4, line 88, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 4, line 90, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 5, line 96, by striking the word, “shall” and inserting the word, “may”;

And,

            On page 5, line 97 after the word, “adoption” by inserting a period and striking the remainder of the sentence.
